TurtlePie was originally established during the mid 2000s by two friends. Their passion for better content in games lead to the creation of the TurtlePie company entity, which now exists as a games development studio in the south east of the United Kingdom.
TurtlePie was founded on three simple ideas:
- To create awesome content, using the latest available technology, with enthralling story-telling and a little something for everyone.
- Involve the players in what we do.
- To show the world we aren’t like any other company.
Over time, we will develop and create content for everyone that utilises a combination of well-established and robust systems alongside the latest state-of-the-art technologies.
This will allow us to leverage a wide range of existing knowledge to help build the awesome content the players deserve.
Looking back over the past decade, a lot of games have begun adding seasonal content that can only be obtained or unlocked by making a real-money purchase, ultimately locking out those who cannot afford or do not wish to spend their earned income on time-limited content.
That’s where we aim to come in.
While we may use systems such as In-App Purchasing and advertisements to assist in the funding of the company and our projects, our aim is to make sure that nobody is left out from our premium content, for example, by designing methods in which a ‘free’ player is able to use their in-game earnings to access it.
We want to show the world we are different to those in the mainstream and that is what we will do.
